South Carolinians rely on TikTok like they do sweet tea in summer. It’s become a crucial commerce hub for millions of people and thousands of businesses across the state.

Savvy small business owners in South Carolina are looking to increase their sales. TikTok is helping them to sell out.

  1. Toadfish Outfitters

    Charleston, SC

Toadfish is an eco-active lifestyle brand that sells everything from fishing gear to coastal kitchenware to apparel. This conservation-focused small business has been able to use TikTok to showcase its thoughtfully made products and generate online sales, which, in turn, help fund its efforts to replenish oyster habitats across the country.

  2. Soul Batteries

    Columbia, SC

Soul Batteries is a mental health focused clothing brand that donates 10% percent of its sales to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Co-owner Nathen Cronk credits TikTok with jumpstarting the business, helping take the company from "almost zero capital" to processing hundreds of orders overnight. Since joining TikTok, Soul Batteries has made nearly 1K sales, opened a brick-and-mortar retail location, hired staff, purchased new machinery, and donated $7K to NAMI.
